Delta-psi is a natural food product that has been designed to promote mitochondrial well-being. Mitochondria are tiny bacteria-sized structures found in every cell we have. Once believed to have been free living organisms they became sybionts that enabled our cells to use oxygen to liberate energy from potential foods.

Now they produce nearly all of the chemical energy we use to power all of our living processes. But as we age our mitochondria age too. and they suffer a drop in their ability to maintain energy capacity. Every aspect of our lives is affected by mitochondrial performance and this product is designed to give mitochondria a helping hand to stay healthy and efficient.

We have called the product delta-psi after the term given to the electro-chemical energy field that mitochondria use to generate chemical energy. It's called ATP and is the universal energy-currency used to drive all our systems from muscle contraction to nervous impulses.

The delta-psi bites were created using sound biochemical principles so we were astonished to find that the Andean Incas and Mayans may have got there before us! You will be able to read about the detailed rationale for each ingredient on other pages in this site but to get started the bites contain: agave syrup ( from the sacred blue agave from which the Conquistadors later made Tequilla); maize meal and oil,  cocoa and even a hint of chili.

All of the above were defining Andean food products, agave, corn and chocolate were sacred to them. So in honour of the Aztec connection we make a special bite that has a dusting of real gold flake. We don't list gold as an active ingredient but who knows?
